Any difference between microfiber towels for removing polish versus wax? I ran across some that say best for polish removal and some for wax removal (I mean buffing).

if you pick up the common microfiber towel (make sure it`s quality one that will not scratch) with a low nap on one side and plush on the other, you will be good to go on using it for removing polishes/compounds, wax/sealant, glass cleaners, and everything else...

Meguiars Ultimate Wipes are pretty good for removing M105 IMO.

Some people prefer a plusher/less-plush MF for certain jobs. One idea along those lines is that a *very* plush, super-soft towel might not be best for buffing off certain LSPs.

FWIW, while I do sometimes use low-nap/suede-style MFs to buff off certain sealants, generally I just use regular plush MFs for everything.
