This one came to me from a painter that had done some fence staining in a new housing developement. He talked with the owner of the car, told her what day he would be there and asked her not to park the car outside as it would get overspray on it. Sure enough the owner went out of town and left the car sitting in the driveway. The painter did his best to put a tarp on the car but with the winds that day it just didn`t stay put.

There was overspray mostly on the back of the car but I found traces all over. The picture of the clay below is what I took off of a quarter of the trunk lid. FUN FUN FUN!!

The rest of the car was normal as she taked really good care of it and has taken my advice on washing techniques. Makes my job a lot easier!!

Process:

Wash w/dawn

Clay entire vehicle including glass, chrome and wheels

Wash again

Dry with leafblower

Polish w/KAIO

Topped w/PBA and DG105

Wheels were protected with DP Paint Sealant

Tires got OB through paint sprayer

Interior was wiped down with woolite/water mix

Leather was conditioned w/DG Leather Conditioner

Good job fixing the car.

Better a tarp than overspray, IMO.

Great cleanup ! That claying sure wouldn`t have been fun.

He had out some plastic over the car and then put down the tarp. But yeah, I would have rather had the tarp over the car as well.

so the painter ended up paying for the work? sounds to me its the owners fault for not moving the car, he was nice enough to try and protect it as much as he could

No....the owner of the car paid once she remembered that she was told not to put the car there. So it all worked out.
