2005 Black Lexus LS430



Client just bought it less then a month ago when he contacted me.



He wanted full exterior correction, full interior with carpet extraction.

Interior was not too bad to start with.

Leather and all hard surfaces steamed with my VX5000.

Leather treated with Zaino Z-10

All hard surfaces treated with 1Z einszett Vinyl-Rubber Care & Protectant "Tiefenpfleger."



After a thorough vac, I pretreat all carpet and mats with ultra pac. After a light working in of the pretreat chemicals, by light I mean just brush them in lightly to the fibers in two directions. No need to scrubb.



I filled my Mytee HP60 with Dry Slurry and water. Let it heat up for 15-20 mins while the pretreat chemicals where dwelling. I then purge the extracting tool into a bucket waiting for some very hot water to pass thru.

After extracting each section I set up air movers/fans to dry the carpet as quickly as possbile.

I would let the fans run thru the nite to ensure the carpet was dry.



I was fortunate that Bret could come by the next day to help finish up a few loose ends.



Then it was all about polishing the paint after that.

So besides for the panels that where wetsanded, all panels got:



Surbuf/M105

Orange/M205

Black/M205



Re-washed with Zaino Z7 via 2BM/sheepskin mits

Dried with electric leaf blower.

Remaining water removed by spritzing Z6 and drying with big blue WW.

Bryan those trees at your house makes for some insane reflections. Everytime I see you post one from the house it makes me think of my military days down there at Benning. Outstanding work yet again. Very nicely done. Great job.

Brings up the question, what are you gonna do if it`s raining or the road`s wet when you return a fresh job? I mean, what can you do? Rolling into an owner`s driveway with a freshly detailed dirty car kinda puts the WOW-factor down the dumper!

On this occasion, the main roads where totally dry and the side roads just damp. If needed I would bring 2 buckets and some QEW with me.

IME after using a rotary for 3 years, I find there is nothing I can do with this combo that I have done with a rotary in the past.

Thanks Josh! If I did not have the air sanders, I would just use a PC to sand with. Find the writeup that David Fermani did.

I have found that if I steam the carpets right before extraction I get a ton more out, these carpets looked good to start.......something to try out. The ultra Pac is amazing, have you tried the POWER BURST? All fiber rinse is also great to follow up the Ultra Pac, leave the carpets feeling softer.



I have used the PC and Trizac 3K and it worked great, I want to get an air sander have a compressor but its low on output.....what do you suggest?



did you pretreat the seats before steaming?

I will have to give that a try (steam prior to extraction)

Have not tried power burst yet. I do have the all fiber rinse, usually use that one on cloth seats. Leather and other hard surfaces get a little 1:10 apc/water prior to steam.



I have a 60 gallon upright compressor from HD. Seems to keep up fine, they are under $450.
