Becoming A Distributor....Advice Please

I have an opportunity that is going to be presented to me this next week to become a distributor for a major auto detail / car wash supplier. There is no one in this area so I would have a pretty good territory to myself. There is one large distributor here and he seems to have most of the dealerships and detail / body shops. His main line is P&S a local maker of car products.



Any advice that can be given on what to look for and what to look out for would be helpful. My plan is to start out small then grow as the business picks up.

I have an exclusive dealership as part of my detail shop, offering a fantastic product with good potential for return. It is a great idea, but we are struggling with it. Just really think it through, and negotiate the lowest fees/%`s you can, lower than what they offer. We paid a little too much I think for ours, based on our economy.
