i was able to give it a good workout today and had a few questions...
1. when you attach the backing plate (no pad attached) and spin it, does the backing plate seem to spin lopsided and not straight?
2. while using it at speed 6 for most of the time and it obviously getting warm around the head, i noticed it would make a bearing /grinding noise (my guess it would be normal since it`s getting broken in) until i would lower the speed down.
one of the main reasons why i bought it is that i could use it on my stock stereo face that has light scratches and a few other areas. i used the 3" griots orange pad with some 106FA and it did a good job of removing them. still on the fence if i`m going to keep it or not (might trade it in for the 6" random orbital), i guess i was expecting more power from it...
