My Golf 6 is the first car that I`ve had with cloth going from the headliner to the dash. What is the best way to wipe the dash without getting protectant on the fabric. I`m worried that I will stain the fabric.

You can get a small piece of masking tape, stick it to you shirt a few times, then stick it on the pillar where it meets the dash. The tape will lose most of the adhesive on your shirt so it wont damage the fabric and at the same time offer that barrier of protection against hitting it with your dash product.
