Pad questions

Hey guys, i am going to be ordering the porter cable 7424 package on autogeek.com that comes with:



Porter Cable 7424XP Polisher

Porter Cable 7424XP Wrench

Porter Cable 7424XP Counter Weight

5 Inch Backing Plate

2 Cobra White Microfiber Polishing Cloth (16 x 16 inches)

12 oz. Pinnacle XMT Polishing Foam Pad Cleaner

12 oz. Pinnacle XMT Polishing Foam Pad Conditioner

5 Lake Country CCS Pads of Your Choice!

2 CCS Red Ultrasoft Wax/Sealant Foam 6.5





So i guess my question is, what pads would you recommend? I normally use mequiars cleaning products such as this:

I daily drive my white honda crx and it still has the original paint on it. The paint is still clean and there are light swirl issues and scratches. Other than that, i just wanna be able to make the paint look new and be sealed for winters. So what pads should i choose with this kit?

Yellow Cutting Foams 6.5

Orange Light Cutting Foam 6.5

Coarse Green Cutting/Polishing Foam 6.5

White Polishing Foam 6.5

Green Polishing/Finishing Foam 6.5

Gray Finishing Foam 6.5

I was going to get 1 or 2 orange pads, 2 gold pad, 1 green pad(one after orange).. What do you guys think?

id probably do 2 orange, 1 white, 1 gray, and 1 red.



u might not get the correction that you wanna get oughta the 6" pads. the 4" pads have better correction abilities & remember to get the smaller backing plate if you get the smaller pads.



but don`t place that kinda order until you`ve tried the stuff that comes with your kit & it doesn`t work to your liking. its a honda & white so you might get lucky with the white paint
