Other than the wife`s sandstone truck, have always owned dark colored cars. I picked up an 08 Alpine White M3, in January and becauser of the weather couldn`t get a full detail in, just a coat of P21 topped with ocw. Any suggestions for products for the paint using a pc. I was thinking poorboys ex-p, and starting with 105/205. All suggestions appreciated.

A good claying of the paint is always in order on white as every little spec will show otherwise. Have you considered using some Collinite 476 as a LSP? Its very long lasting. 105/205 is my favorite combo for polishing paint.

Not overly concerned with longevity of the LSP, just looking for an LSP that will give the white a wet like look.

I think the majority of the folk here will say use a sealant for light color cars its gives them a very nice liquid look. Recently I`ve been using zanio Z2 and it looks great AND lasts. As it it a M3 and I have a uncontrollable soft spot for bimmers, I would use a German product on German paint. I have used and LOVE 1Z Glanz Wax it also look great and lasts a while. As a "booster" about once a week to keep my two silver cars looking their best I hit them with Optimum Car Wax. I also use Menz 106ff/fa, with 85rd for jeweling.

off topic...but if you end up getting some 1Z Glanz, try out their 1Z Cockpit for the interior. Really like this product. Nice satin finish and mild but cleans well.

I have glanz on my E46 M3 as well and have been experimenting with 1Z spray wax, DG AW, and OCW.

I have only done a very small part with OCW....but really liked it. (silver grey metallic)

I would clay it first. During shipment I bet it got some nice rail dust and highway dust on it. Then your polish 105/205 then I think Blackfire Wet Diamond BFWD would look awesome. Good detailing.

Thanks for the suggestions. Hopefully get to it this weekend or next and will post pics, when done. On another note, if you get a chance to drive an 08 or newer M3 its a must do, as a long time and current Porsche owner, I`m blown away by the M3.
