Just to show that the PC can be used to do paint correction on a small scale. This BMW had a scratch that you could slightly catch your fingernail on, yet it wasn`t all the way through the clear.

Using just a PC, I was able to make it much less noticeable. Although it`s still not 100% removed and you still can barely make it out if you look at just the right angle, by knocking off all the sharp edges the light no longer catches it. There was one spot in the center of the scratch that was deeper, and I decided it was best to not chase it and leave more clear. You`ll probably notice that in the afters as well.

All correction was done with a PC and 4" orange cyclo pad, speed 6.

I tried to take a lot of pictures from different angles and lighting to try to show it best.

That`s the look I`ll been trying to get on my silver corolla. What products were use for the paint correction process? Good job, looks great to me!

For the scratch I used 3M Fine Cut Compound, although I`ve removed similar scratches using SSR3, M105, HT HC, etc. The process is to apply the product, spread it around the scratch at low speed/low pressure, and then crank up the speed and pressure and work the compound until it`s broken down.

It took me three passes to get the scratch reduced to where I felt it was sufficiently reduced and it was better to stop than remove more clear.

With a PC you really need 4" pads as larger pads don`t allow you to bear down as hard.

The rest of the car got:

Wash CWC foam gun.

Claymagic clay

light wash to remove clay residue

Optimum PoliSeal with 6" LC white foam, PC speed 5.

Optimum OCW
