My Denali has some ice scraper scratches on the windshield from the previous owner and they are driving me crazy. I can drag my fingernail over them and lightly feel them. My question is what are my options, and price is an issue, I would like to spend less than $50.

I have a Dewalt 849 Variable speed polisher, maybe I could buy an appropriate pad separately and the glass compound/polish online rather than a "kit". Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and here is a link I found to a cheaper polishing kit i found just "Google`in" it really quick, but I don`t want to buy something that isn`t going to work, :thx.

If you can feel it with your fingernail, then you are going to have to work long and hard to get the scratch most of the way out of the glass. The kit you linked is decent - always choose a kit that utilizes cerium oxide. You will also want to re-seal the windshield with rain-x or similar sealant. Many people have had good luck with diamonite and lake-country kits. The LC kit linked below includes the polish, rain-x, polishing pads, and backing plate.

That looks like a great product, and for only $5 more than the one that I found it seems to have a lot more stuff included. Thanks
