Hey guys,
I`ve restarted my part time detailing biz (see welcome (http://www.AnywhereCarWash.com)) and have an upcoming detail with cloth interior.
What methods/products do you guys recommend for this process?
Note: I do not own a steam cleaner... yet.

About Folex................
I just finished a major interior detail..... ( http://www.autopia.org/forum/click-brag/127157-my-first-professional-detail-picture-heavy.html )
I only had Folex, Woolite, and Bissell fluid.
I pre-treated all of the major spots with Folex. I then sprayed the entire interior with Woolite 10:1.
After it sat for about an hour I got out the Bissell filled with mixture of very hot bissell fluid and water. I sucked out the already applied Folex and Woolite and used the Bissell fluid to try to treat the bad spots. The machine is like this (http://www.bissell.com/ProductDetail.aspx?id=2786) but without the built in heater......
I have to say, the Folex worked good on most of the interior. But on the tough spots even the Folex did not seem to remove them. Maybe I did it wrong..... I am not sure.
Has anyone used something that is full-proof, or has worked really really good on the tough spots? If it was in Gallon form or it was able to be diluted 10:1 etc. that would be even better. From one of the big chemical companies... Warner, Automagic etc? Something that would last a long time or is overall pretty inexpensive?
Let us know! :secret
Thank you!!

I used the normal bottle of woolite. http://img.epinions.com/images/opti/6f/ed/Woolite_Fabric_Wash-resized200.gif
Is this what you are supposed to use?

If you can stand the smell ,ammonia and water workes great , 1 cup of ammonia to 1 gallon of water. Simply dunk a towel in the solutiom, wring out and wipe and scrub the fabric, and then follow with a dry towel. No extractor needed.

Does it work really good? What about for serious spot staining. What do you use?

I have only had one time when Folex and ZEP carpet cleaner did not cut it. As the detail went on, I got hungry so ran to the local supermarket for something to eat and saw the Rug Doctor products on the shelf. I picked up a bottle of their spot and stain remover and it worked awesome. Of course, this was with an extractor, also. So, I keep a bottle of this on hand for those `really hard to remove` stains.

Ive done some nasty interiors with the ammonia and water solution , and it works great. When the fabric dries, the ammonia smell is gone with all other oders in the fabric. I think it works great.

I never thought of that stuff! Now because of "lawrencea" I think now I will keep a bottle of Ammonia and from you I will keep some Rug Doctor stain remover on hand.
I have also heard of many versions of a red stain remover. Does anyone know where to get the best deal on that stuff? :bow

I bought this for red stains, and it works extremely well. I used it on a red wine stain on beige Volvo carpets, and it came right out.
