Most of my packages include a one-step polishing (now they are, i should say). I`m curious, what pad/chemical i should use out of my assortment to achieve atleast a 60% swirl reduction:

Chemicals:

Adams swirl/haze remover

adams machine polish

pads:

yellow, orange, white, black Lake Country Kompressor pads.

Try it out and see what you get. All cars are different.

poliseal

m80 then wax

menzerna 203, then wax

automagic BC2 then wax

you are going to have a hard time getting real correction from a one step/AIO. I have dropped that from my service list, and opted to go with a dedicated polish step, then a sealant

I did the same. Even when the customers only wanted a AIO polish I would lways follow it with a more durable sealant so I said screw it and removed it all together. :2thumbs:

If you are looking for decent correction with a sealed finish then Poli-Seal on an LC white or HT tangerine is the best AIO bar none. As far as 1-step polish, Menzerna 106FA on an LC HT Cyan pad is unbeatable in my opinion. Although it is a "cutting" pad it finishes down beautifully almost every time with 106. 85% correction is very possible if you are patient with this combination. Spend the extra dollars for Menzerna, you`ll make it up in time savings and customer satisfaction.

Sorry, I`ve not used any of the Adams polishes. :(

M205 and Menzerna Power Finish are going to give you excellent results/correction for a 1-step. Pad choice will depend on the paint but I`ve been able to use an orange LC pad with M205 on a few paints now without micro marring. :)

I have used Megs D-151 with pretty good results on neglected finishes and also ZPC finishes down pretty well too. Last time I used D-151 I would say I got 85% of the RIDS and all of the swirls out of the finish on a 07 Mercury.

I`d think you`d have to use an orange pad to do correction with an AIO type product.

I use D151 with an orange pad on most vehicles. Sometimes I`ll upgrade to M205/orange on Volvo and Mercedes, because the clear just reacts so well to the product.

I sell my details starting with a one step polish. All cars finish with Menz 85rd or 106FF with white CCS pads. So if the car comes in in excellent condition, and one step is fine, but I upsell multi step polishes. Be sure to prepare your customer when you`re on the phone with them, that any dark colored car will need a multi step, and anything with medium to heavy swirls and scratches may need a 2-3 step machine polish. Good luck.

played this weekend with this on my 06 fusion, 1 step polished with adams fine machine polish and removed about 80% of the swirls with the white Kompressor pad. I was really happy!
