What is the best way to remove very fine scratches on chrome wheels? Will 0000 steel wool and a metal polish work or will it add more fine scratches?

I`ve had good luck with quality chrome and 0000 SW, I have also used wet sanding. 105 seems to help polish afterwards, and then I like to hand polish with Flitz.

Cheers,

GREG

Cheers,

GREGThanks for the reply. These are very fine scratches on new chrome wheels so don`t want to risk adding more scratches. Never used 0000 with chrome polish before. Do you rub in circles or straight lines?

Start with polishing first and see what happens.

You say very fine then 0000 might be too much. I try to hit the scratches at right angles.

GREG

Thanks Greg. I tried with several chrome polishes, but no luck. Guess I`ll have to live with it.
