Wasn`t able to find an answer for this specific polisher, so I figured I`d ask.

I know some users prefer smaller pads for DA polishers, however, the new generations are a bit more powerful. Can a newer polisher like the G110v2 achieve proper correction using 6" pads (came with 6: backing plate), or should I be looking right toward something like a 4"? Also, would I have to replace the counter weight if I switched to a 4"?

I should mention I`m just a DIY`er so time isn`t a crucial factor, but I`d rather not spend a ton of extra time if something as simple as a smaller pad would really speed the process up.

you could get 3.5" and 5" backing plates (not positive, but i`m sure they will fit) so you could use 4" and 5.5" pads as well...

Would that require different counterweights as well? I`m really looking to pick up one set of pads to begin with, and was wondering if the 6" would work well with this polisher, or if I should just get a set of 4"

Low profile 5.5" orange cutting pads seem to work quite well with the G110 (original version) so that is probably where I would start.

Get the 5.5" and 4" pads.

No, you don`t have to change the counterweight.
