I did my first full detail yesterday and i think it went pretty well

the car was really rough when I got it and it still hs the dents and some defects

I knew that it didnt matter if this car was 95% defect free

the before and after is definately a BIG difference

I love Toreador Red...its definately one of Fords best colors

Things I used:

ONR pre sprayed to loosen all the dirt then ONR wash

Meg`s Claybar (white) W/ONR clay lube

Eagle One A2Z Wheel and Tire

GG 6" DA with 6"CCG Orange pads and Griot 3" Orange mini pad

Meg`s UC

Optimum Poli-Seal Applied W/ Griot 6" Red pad

Optimum Opti-Seal (applied to wheels also)

Stoners Invisible glass

Meg`s Endurance Shine

Sorry for the not so good pics...im still learning

I`ve also been using UC :) Didn`t feel a need to finish it out with something a little less aggressive? Looks very good!

I`m not very experienced but one thing I noticed that would make it look a bit better is some wheelwell spray. I`ve come to like Bare Bones Undercarriage Spray. It actually makes the wheel wells easier to clean next time as well.

Great job!

It got to be hella late so I said screw the white pad and swirlX.

I actually sprayed down the wells but I used a ****** tire shine (ran outta what I usually use)

Thanks for the compliments

Nice work! I love Toreador red also, my old SVT Contour had it. I found mine to be easy to work with.

Thanks SVT...my nd Gen SHO was toreador red.

I detailed a Taurus with the same color this past Summer. I also used UC/SwirlX combo and finished with Collinite 845. That red takes on a really nice glow when it`s polished and protected. Nice job on the detail.

Looks great! Maybe a little apc/h2o on the wheelwells and some undercarriage spray. That paint looks good!

the more people like the detail I did the more its making me wish I woulda done the swirlX step...i know it would have looked even better

I was hoping to get a chance to wax the car now that the sealant is cured but from her driving it on the salted up roads its already gettin a bit dirty lol

I bet a layer or 2 of natty`s Red or 845 would really look good on this car

Looks really good. I had a 98 Contour with a very similar color..

ONR is a great product, but don`t forget to at least now and then give the undercarriage and wheel wells a good wash with a hose or PW.

I think it turned out great, but you need to take care of those wheel wells.

BTW ... do you live somewhat close to Philly? You can get Ardex`s Speedy VOC at their front store. It`s the same thing as barebones, but cheaper and you don`t have to pay shipping.

You can also get the collinite products there.

keep up the good work and im sure that monte will look just as good as the last one. i find that when you do something you have a passion for and it happens to to pay well that you can easily exceed all customers expectations. i still remember a time when i only had one client with 2 cars that gave me something to do once a month.:tumbleweed: however once word spreads its hard to have any free time. and thats a good thing. :bigups
