For those that have used them, is the heated model that much better?

I got the LGM (no heat) as a Christmas present but have considered exchanging it for the heat model. The heat model only heats the water 25* above normal temperature, but it looks like it is a 9 amp motor versus the standard 3 amp motor. It sounds like the water is only heated to a `warm` temp, not a `hot` temp?

Is the difference worth the extra money? (about $40 or so it looks like)

I`m really leaning towards the more powerful motor and might even get the automotive model that has the crevice tool.

Thanks,

Randy

Just fill it with hot water.

IME the hotter the water the better (ditto for more powerful motors). Given the choice, I`d go with a heated unit (and still fill it with hot water).

I concur. I have the heated one now and it works very well considering the cost.

The 9 amp vs 3 amp might just be the added draw of the heater.

Grab the auto specific model, its heated and includes a crevice tool. Not that it matters, but it looks cooler too.
