I`ve used the EZ Brush probably 30-40 times (haven`t had long at all) and I`ve already had issues with the tip losing all of it`s rubber coating, exposing metal, as well as the brush end of it actually breaking completely off :(

I loved the brush before this happened too.

Then I got the Meg`s brush becuase it was local and before I`ve used it ten times I`ve already got bristles completely breaking off the tip.

Are you using acids as a cleaner? That will eat away any brush like that

Same thing happened to mine after only a dozen uses. I dropped EZ Detail customer service an e-mail via the Customer Service address on their Web site... no reply. After contacting the vendor I purchased from they contacted EZ Detail and they sent a replacement brush.

I`ve since changed the way I use the brush as it isn`t as sturdy as you`d wish. I make sure any bends are made towards the middle of the brush and I avoid any actions that promote bending where the handle meets the stem.

I`ve got a Daytona Speed Master Wheel Brush coming for Christmas.

Amazon has a twofer for 40 bucks with a couple of other accessories included.

All the reports I`ve seen are it`s a much more robust tool for wheels. The EZ Detail brush was originally designed for reaching nooks and crannies on motorcycles. Although many report no problems after years of use I don`t think it`s sturdy enough for repeated vigorous use on wheel. YMMV.

Can`t help on the Megs brush. As the OP mentioned, if you`re using a stout acid-based cleaner perhaps that isn`t the right tool for that job.

Use a diluted Meg`s Wheel Brightner

There is a rubber cap that covers the end of the EZ Detail Brush, and it appears yours is missing. Mine fell off after about a dozen uses, and I ended up replacing it with a new one, I got at the local auto parts store.

Gee, looks like those brushes are being used rather aggressively.

That has happened to my EZ brush too. First the tip fell off, then it broke at the stem like yours did. This was only after a few months of use, too.

I got a Daytona Brush about five months ago, and haven`t had the issue of it breaking at the stem (I guess it wasn`t just BS Autogeek marketing hype about having a reinforced stem!), but the tip did fall off. I just duct taped the exposed metal very thoroughly so it doesn`t scratch.

Ask our guy from AutoGeek how to contact the manufacture about this and A.G. totally took care of me on the brush.

This is the second time A.G. has completely surprised me with above and beyond customer service. Really happy!
