Here is my dilemma...my wife and I were watching a movie the other night and most of it was shot at The West Edmonton Mall. My wife, who loves shopping malls...and me, who loves to go to new places went on their website to see where it was located compared to us. I checked their address and here is what was listed:

1755,8882170 Street

Edmonton, AB T6T 4J2

Canada

Now, being computer savvy, I went onto Rand McNally.com as well as Mapquest.com.

My question is, How in the world do I put this address into the GPS to find out exactly where this mall is located, and the directions to take to get there.

Thanks

Take a right at Calgary and a left when you get to Edmonton.:heelclick

It is something to see alright.

This was easy beyond words.

A quick google search for `West Edmonton Mall address` yeilded this:

8882 170 Street Northwest

Edmonton, AB T5T 3J7

(780) 444-5200

My Garmin does locations, intersections, specific addresses, so even if I didn`t know the actual address, I could always locate one of the million shops in the mall and use that as a destination.

I bet your GPS will do the same thing.

Yup, but what a mall!

At one time and for quite a while, the West Edmonton Mall had more operational submarines than the entire Canadian Navy. I`m not kidding. The Mall had 3, the Canadian Navy had 2.

Canada eventually bought some old English subs so now the Canadian Navy has a couple of more than the West Edmonton Mall.

Practically, this means if Canada is attacked by major warships on the west coast, the east coast, or by a warship incursion into heartland Canada, we`re well protected.

Come to think of it, I don`t think the West Edmonton Mall submarines actually had operational armament, so really, any attack anywhere in Canada means we`re probably doomed.

I`m so depressed now, I think I`ll go shopping.

Yes, you are right...that is alot of miles, however, if we make a week and a half vacation out of it, it would be worth it. I figure maybe 4 days travel each way and probably 3 days to go through the mall and another 4 days back. It would be one heck of a roadtrip!

Yeah, I hear driving in the Yukon is great this time of year (well, alright, it`s may not be the Yukon, but it`s 2°F there today--and it`s sunny). Not exactly my idea of a road trip--unless you wait until summer.

Not sure what the Mall of America has to offer, but it would be a lot closer.

We have already been to the Mall of America, as well as the Mall of Georgia. We just thought this would be something different...
