I’ve been using this product for about 7 months now. I applied it to my ’08 Honda back in April and it has held up remarkably well. The product has two key attributes that have high appeal to me:

Sheds dirt, road junk very well (this is the product REJEX should have been)

Painted surfaces look awesome when clean, looks great even when dirty<O:p

I have used this product on a couple of cars. It’s probably fair to this is my permanent go-to product for the daily drivers. I can’t imagine any product offering more or doing more. I’m very pleased with it and must extend my gratitude to SuperBee and Bence for telling me that I needed to try it. It has exceeded my expectations. The only negative things I can say about it are the pads are difficult to clean afterwards and the product tends to dust and leave tiny little granules that fall off the polishing pad.

So, it’s been a full 7 months since this car was last done. There really wasn’t any serious reason to re-do the car apart from the fact that we’re entering the winter season. The painted surfaces still look great. I will say that the surfaces have lost that tremendous initial slickness and no longer shed dirt and other contaminants with ease…I did have some very minor bonded stuff on the paint. The surface did display some WIMM*, but the car still looked amazing following a wash with a big, bright gloss.

When I first applied 1000P on this car earlier in the year, I had concerns that I did not adequately de-wax the surface (had been coated with 476S) and I was concerned that the previous sealant was still in place. This time I employed a more aggressive de-waxing strategy and followed the recommendation of one of the forum’s uber-detailers and misted all panels with Spray 9 … I wanted to ensure I had a good base to start with.

<O:p

I intentionally skipped the Spray 9 mist on the outer roof rail area, you can still see the beading. I did mist the main portion of the roof and you can see the sheeting:

My process was simple. I applied Fk #215 to the entire vehicle via PC. #215 is their All in One product. It leaves a brilliant shine and super-slick finish. It`s a shame it doesn`t last as it would be a great AIO product. I polished a few problem areas that were left by the car dealership. I was able to relieve some of the damage with PC and Meg`s #205 (which seems about right for the soft Honda paint). I then proceeded to do the entire vehicle with 1000P and followed up 24hrs later with a 2nd coat.

I would mist a little #425 on the pad per Accumulator`s (??) recommendation. That seemed to help things apply a bit quicker. Both the #215 and 1000P were left to cure for only a few short minutes. Both products are brutal to remove when left too long :wow:

This is the residue I’m talking about. It’s all over the car, I’m going to have to go back this coming weekend and continue cleaning door jambs, etc.

I`ve got some more work to do on this. I need to get the wheel wells...I didn`t realize how poor they looked `til I saw some of the fotos :nervous2: Next weekend...there`s always next weekend :)

I`ll grab a few more pictures on a less-overcast day so you can see the remarkable shine.

Lookin` good!

Where do you get the Spray Nine? Do you dilute it at all?

WIMM...chuckle...another for the acronym list!

Thanks.

Spray 9 is a Home Depot product. I think I`ve seen it at ACE Hdwe, too.

IIRC, it`s around $12/gallon at HD. I`ve been using it at 100% strength. It`s sort of a household cleaner/degreaser/disinfectant.

I hate all the acronyms...I thought I could add something dopey and there it is!

Thank you. I`ve been in need of a good "removes-all" type product.

Great write-up, Tom. Yeah, ole Bence really started something with the 1000P, much to Autopia`s benefit.

That Spray 9 looks like great stuff. Gonna have to pick some up next Home Depot trip.

Your car looks awesome.:2thumbs:

Tom P.- Nice write up, and the car turned out great :xyxthumbs

I can`t help but think that the machine application was heavier than you coulda got by hand though  For some reason I just keep doing it by hand, even though it was quite a job on the Yukon DXL.

No pseudo-holograms from the layering, huh? After six applications/layers, I got `em on just *one* area (well, that I`ve noticed so far), and even that`s nothing like I had with 476S.

And yeah, I think that *was* me with the "use FK425" advice. I do that with my old sample tin but my "Great White" can was much softer and I didn`t need to with that.

Guys, here`s a nice reference to Spray 9:

Look about 1/3 way down that post.

I`ve given up on doing stuff by hand...I simply cannot duplicate the uniformity the machine offers.

I do believe the #425 helps to lube things up a bit :)

I`m getting incredibly tight beading this time. I didn`t achieve this on my first attempt 7 months ago which suggested that I didn`t do a good job getting the product bonded to the paint.

It`s raining tonight:

Here`s my contribution for the dumb question of the day......do you just spray the vehicle with Spray 9 after you wash it and rinse it off or do you need to agitate the product? I guess I`m asking how/when to use the product.

JB, I think that would work. However, I misted it on one panel at a time (dry paint), let it dwell for a few mins and then hand-washed/rinsed.

The thing I like about it is it doesn`t leave any streaking or staining like other products I`ve tried. It appears to be quite effective at this task.

Tom,

Thanks for the info. I use 1000P myself and I`m equally pleased. That stuff rocks. Guess I`ll be heading back to Home Depot for some Spray 9!
