I was buffing a car the other day that had a clear bra on it and i got the pad close to it and it kinda scuffed my pad up i have done this before with areas i tape off when i am trying to get close. when this happens are the pads done for or are they still safe to use? pad was a orange lake country pad. Thanks

You can still use it if it`s just orange foam material showing. If backing material is showing it`s probably toast.

The duospur has a pad shaping metal cutting edge on it and you can use that to reshape your pad, but if it`s not bad you shouldn`t need to.

its def not scraped down to the backing just the surface around the edge has become more gritty so to say then how it used to be. ill take a picture later.

A cut or frayed pad can still be used, but it may hold too much polish in that one spot. If it`s on the edges I wouldn`t worry about it.
