Update! Finished new photos added down a few posts.

I was called today by a steady client to come and detail one of his new vehicles in his collection, on the phone it was an easy clean up the soot kind of job, when I got there..................I`m going to be busy for awhile.

So here are some teaser pics as I will take more as the job unfolds.

This is going to be a handful, but oh what a prize at the end.

Also of note is there is not any weatherstriping.................

Okay all you voyeurs... I worked on the vehicle again I am learning so much and loving the challenge. The owner is so cool we are testing some products out on the surfaces, this has to be the largest sample sizes ever.

Here are some more photos...

The entire surface is covered in a grimy soot, and seems to have speed the oxidation of the paint. I don`t know if you can see on the left the grime. I tried all types of cleaners and nothing cleaned it, so start polishing to see.

I`m only 1/4 of the way done but felt I had better get a photo op of this bad boy, encase I go postal before the end. The paint is SUPER hard, 105 and wool barely budge it, and its super oxidatated.

That is a sweet aircraft. I believe the prop is driven by a turbine engine.

Did he give you the key to move the "car" for polishing? Looks like a fun project.

Turbo Prop, no? Those planes haul..

Yes its a turbo prop and it hauls, the performace is outstanding. The airforce uses them to drop off troops on small airfields, yet it hauls up to 12 with seats, less without them. I`m also testing a new sealant on this craft from Germany, that sounds and looks promising.

The Pil. PC 12 is one of the fastest rubberband aircraft in the air. Aside from the Piaggio, is one of the coolest prop aircraft around!! Not quite a walk-around cabin but, cool none the less!!!!

Oh, and sorry to havce posted the model before you wished to unvail it!!! Jus an aircraft I am pretty familiar with!!!

Okay I finished up the plane! It took forever, since the owner was flying all over the place with it, its a bit hard to polish it at 20,000`.......the polish drys out too fast. I used a newer product for my LSP, has high UV protection for higher altitude planes, it seems to really help reduce the soot build up. Durability is still to be seen, as its only been on the plane for 3 months. The surface really needs a deeper polishing but the client is thinking about the possibility. I only one step polished it.

You can see on the right the grime on the plane, left side polished and clean.

Looks AWESOME Greg!

Hope it was warm in that hanger in there! I was in SLC a couple weeks ago and basically froze to death.
