This customer came from a forum member here who I`m unaware of. He is from Florida and this truck belongs to his dad. He told his father to contact me and I was the one for the job. Whoever you are, thank you! Your parents are great people!

I`m not going to do any crazy write-up on this one but I did want to share it with you. This detail was back in late August but I`m always behind on my postings cause honestly, it just takes time I don`t have. I hope everyone is doing well and business keeps booming for you. I know I`m staying busy during this time and have been fortunate.

Owner bought the truck through a family friend and got it for a steal. It has 27k miles on it with all the options and paid just under $15,000 I believe. After doing an inspection we decided on a two step polishing to remove deeper defects and take the paint`s gloss to a new level. I also did a light interior and protected the interior surfaces.

Wash with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash N Gloss

Clay with DI Fine Grade Clay

Menzerna Power Finish - Orange

Menzerna 106FA - White

Chemical Guys EZ Creme Glaze - Black via PC

Clearkote Caranuba Moose Wax - Black via PC

After looking over the vehicle several areas of trim were stained with wax/polish.

It was an overcast both days I worked on the car so no crazy before pics. It wasn`t horrible but it needed some love.

Very nice work...that EZ Creme Glaze looks like it does a nice job. I may have to invest in a bottle and try it out.

It does a nice job and with the cleaners in the product it really helps prep the surface so that your sealant or wax will properly bond to the paint and give the durability it claims.

Good one Bro. F-150 are nice when they are clean, and the trim is wax-free.

Looks great, DJ!

It seems like every car I get has wax caked in every crack & crevice imagineable. What did you use to remove the wax from the trim / moldings?

Nice work!!

Thank you everyone!

Rick,

For the wax on the trim, I scrubbed the surfaces with 91% IPA 2-3 times and then used Poorboy`s Trim Restorer with 1 light application using a foam applicator pad. I let it sit for a full day then before the owner picked up, I went over the trim again using Optimum Protectant Plus to give it the UV Protection. Also, I sent you a PM back the other day!! LOL

I assume your talking about the Clearkote Caranuba Moose Wax? It`s good stuff. Easy to use, darkens the paint and has great durability for a caranuba. I don`t use it too often, but it`s nice for these darker paints.
