For looks, I would use NXT

Durabilitywise I`d go with Collinite

yeah if its for sale, nxt will make the paint pop for a short while. but i really dont think you could go wrong with either 845 or nxt. i am not too sure about the 3m performance finish.

Of those, on Audi silver, I`ve only used the 845, which was OK and looked quite a bit like #16.

The big thing with Audi silver seems to be the prep; it just doesn`t *pop* unless you get it really, really nice....kinda funny in that sense as silvers go IME.

yea not looking for durability, just for that pop. i was hoping to not have to polish it at all, but if what u say is true about that silver, ill go over it once.

:thx

845, I don`t like NXT on lighter colors.

Collinite is the way to go, it always impresses me with it`s looks on lighter metallics (assuming proper prep).

NXT will darken the paint too much and won`t really "POP" was much.

845 without a doubt....leaves a nice "thick" gloss.

two best i`ve used on my metallic silver audi is danase wet glaze and upgp. both offer reflective properties, a nice slick finish and easy of application.

totally agree on the prep. good prep = good results. bad prep = don`t bother with lsp

one very underrated product is dg 501. a chemical paint cleaner and sealant. nothing i`ve used gives a slicker feeling. even after wash and clay, a white pad/pc application will see your pad get amazingly dirty. can`t believe what 501 pulls off. you do need to apply with a pc speed of 2. anything faster and the 501 flashes too quickly.

well went with the 845. did a 3 step polish on it too( you can read the write up tonight when i get everything posted up.

but the 845 worked out really well.

thanks for all the input.
