One thing I am learning about these vehicles is that the lower textured plastic cladding is a PITA to clean properly. I am wondering if using an all-purpose cleaner (e.g. EF HI diluted) would be effective in cleaning that as well as the textured plastic on the spoiler of an SE.

We use Meg`s APC on any trim of that kind, along with a tooth brush or similar, on every detail prior to dressing. The new stuff seems more porous then older trim of that type and like you mentioned, harder to clean.

Yeah Megs APC works very well and for those of you in the mainland it is very cost effective and can be diluted very much.

I have a 2004 Pacifica that has the textured plastic on the bottom and it gets VERY dirty. As mentioned by everyone else I like the diluted APC. I spray the trim down and scrub, then respray it and steam it clean. (Thankfully my 2008 does not have the plastic on the bottom:))

I`ll give that a whirl. Just have to figure out a way to treat the plastic.
