I`m about 80% done cleaning/detailing the engine bay on my 91 civic si.

Still have some left to do...

I still havent had it power washed/steam cleaned yet.. All I did was use rags , paintbrush and 2 cans of WD40,

scrubbed around the engine bay alot of parts taken off and cleaned..

Power washing/steaming will do the trick..

I`m gonna someone locally help with the powerwashing etc etc.

Anyways heres some pics of the progress...

The car was oil sprayed when bought brand new...

Its been sitting in a workshop, covered under a car cover.

Alot of dust went inside the engine bay and embedded onto the oilspray/rustproofing...

Engine bay has never been washed in 19 years..

Al of the parts/bolts are still new, shiney because of it...

It looks much better. Are you going to pull the valve cover and repaint it?

Looks much better! I had an 88 CRX Si. These pictures make me miss it even though I now drive a DB8 ITR. You should be very proud of your cars! Sick EFs! :bigups

Just a bit confused here Rob. You visited me, we made an appointment to do the engine bay, then you started doing it yourself.

Looks great in any case.

Ya , well my buddy I used to work with contacted me and said he was gonna do my entire car for $120.. He did my crx as well.... then he got busy... then he went to the U.S. for vacation (still there)

So I decided to get a head start on the engine bay..

It came out much better than I thought !

I saved myself some money as well.

I`ll post the finished engine bay once I get the new valve cover on in a few days.

:)
