Vinyl top repair?

I just noticed today a slit in the top of my vinyl convertible top. It`s about a half an inch long or so. I have no idea what caused it or exactly when it might have occurred.



Is it repairable? If yes, how? who?



My car is three years old.

Permatex 81785 Dashboard & Vinyl Top Repair Kit I have used it a couple of times make sure area is clean. Like when you think it is clean do it 2 or 3 more times.
