View Full Version : Less Commercial, More Learning!!!

Yesterday I was poking around in my "Guide to Detailing" articles in the How-To area (http://www.autopia.org/forum/guide-detailing/) and started grumbling to myself about how badly they need updating. Then I thought to myself, "Hey, wait a minute... why don`t I just open the whole how-to area up for comment and contribution?"

I hope you like the idea, because that`s what I`ve decided to do. So, here are the rules for posting in the new Guide to Detailing forum area:

1. NO COMMERCIAL LINKS ALLOWED! (Even a stupid -- "oh, I didn`t know" -- attempt to do so will get your sorry butt banned. All links will be generated by me through auto-linking to sponsors.)

2. The article (thread) must be a true how-to for educational purposes, not a lame attempt sales pitch. It the how-to smells like a sales pitch, it will not be approved.

3. Images must be hosted in the Autopia Gallery and must be no more than 800 pix wide.

4. No HTML. All formatting must be through BB codes (I will post a guide).

5. Videos must be hosted on YouTube.

I will start by moving my articles and get them cleaned up to remove my own links and commercialism. I look forward to seeing your input to make the learning experience even better.

I thought I moved all of them. Did I miss some that you know about?

I have a ton of videos on youtube that can be used as long as I get credit for making them. The links are in the car washing write-up I did.

Scott,

I turned on the YouTube auto-linker for the how-to area. If you want to create the thread with you videos, you can present them how you want.

Thanks!
