Hello

My 08 M3 has 4,000 miles and it has several waterspots on the hood. Top and trunk lid look OK.

I tried a 50/50 vinegar and water wipe down but that didn`t do anything.

I was going to order Chemical Guys water spot remover but they said they can`t sell because it`s too acidic! They mentioned using CLR cleaner but I`m kind of scared to use that.

I have a porter cable 7424 and some Menzerna IP and a white and yellow pad - all from properautocare.com purchased back in 2004.

2 questions

What should I try next, the CLR or start polishing?

Is my stuff still good to use considering I bought it way back when?

Thanks

I have one coat of Zaino Z2 and P21S Wax

I had horrible waterspotting issues on DD`s with Z2. Not sure where you are but the east coast has some serious acid rain issues and those don`t seem to mix well with some sealants.

The only way I got my spots out was heavy polishing and I had to just let a few go because I would have eaten through clear.
