So....My buddy who will be unamed...you know who you are :p....Well he has a 335 JET BLACK :( It is a very difficult paint to work with....He did come over in the evening so I couldn`t get any sun shots, but you can see lower on the hood what I was dealing with ALL over the car. I was just going to try to fix what I could tonight and he will come back tomorrow to finish up...He had gone over it with his rotary and left quite a few holograms and buffer trails. :o

I had to first strip off the opti-seal he had applied to the car....So I washed it with some citrus wash and clear....He was very concerned about water pooling in the mirrors and lights....I pulled out my rigid shop vac and blew out all the areas, that thing rocks..

This is what I ended up with...

I decided I would just attempt to burnish or jeweling the paint to remove the trails and holograms....I used some MENZ 85 on a black pad with a UDM....I followed up with some blackfire wet diamond....The paint really came out nice except he does have some water etching, but I wasn`t about to get into that with the time I had..Maybee another day  I didn`t need to really remove anything other than the holograms and trails and working the 85 in quite a bit, it worked well. I was marring the paint with certain MF towels so I had to be extra gentle...

You can barley tell there is a clear bra on there now...

Today He came back to finish up his car...I had to finish up an RSX I was working on see the other thread :D Since I just washed it yesterday I we just went over it with ONR...I handed him my UDM and let him at it with 85RD and a black pad, of course he is a buddy and ruined his own paint with his rotary and needed my help to get rid of the job he did :o...

He needed help taping and technique with the DA...:run: All while I am working on another car....It wasn`t night so we were able to get some shots of what the car acutally looked like after it was in the hands of well someone less than capable...:D You can see the Trails in the corner that haven`t been removed yet...

We taped it up and he went to town while I worked on a real customers car, He kept trying to learn how to use a rotary properly...AND No matter what I did he wouldn`t put that dam cord over his shoulder....

After he went over the entire car with the 85, it was rinsed off due to all the dust he produced...Dam Noobs.....Moved on to Blackfire sealant, I needed my UDM so he had to do it by hand..:lol Just removing the sealant the paint would just go BLEH and marr on us...It took quite a few light wipings to get it perfect..

All THE Beauty shots :D....

Nice job. What products did you use, I see a Mothers banner in the reflection?
