What would you guys say would be the best combination, in your opinion, to use on a new Pikes peak white (Nissan`s pearl white) paint? Car has very minor washing swirls from the dealership and is in basically perfect shape otherwise. I plan to be entering the car in many upcoming car shows and I want the paint to be in absolutely perfect shape because nothing annoys me more than going to a car show and seeing cars there where the paint is not well cared for. I don`t want to be that guy. I take alot of pride in my car and it gets alot of attention and I want it look great all of the time even though it is my DD.

I am looking for a light polish/pad combination to be used on a 9227 and best wax to use for depth and shine and the best for protection?

Thanks for any of your suggestions

slp123- If you plan to do it all by rotary I`d suggest the final polishing step be with 3M Ultrafina. Hope you`re very good with that Makita, finishing out 100% hologram-free is very difficult but at least white will be somewhat forgiving in that regard.

If you get the prep right, IMO Collinite wax would be a good choice, or maybe FK1000P; I plan to use one or the other on the next white vehicle I do.

I have gotten pretty good with the Makita, not the best but I guess i hold my own. The pearl white is very forgiving as far as light swirls, but if I see one it drives me crazy. I quit detailing for customers about two years ago and since then I have cut down on my detailing supplies. Now that I have purchased this car, I want to keep it in great shape and show ready, so I wanted to know the best combinations for this color.

I have pinnacle souveran already and was planning on using that on it right before the show in two weeks. I will check out the 3m Ultrafina. I have a 3m finishing glaze and was thinking of running that over the car by hand and follow it up with souveran. Ill let you guys know how it comes out.

Ill probably order the PO85RD and ultrafina to check it out.

Thanks
