One of the worst things to wake up to if you value your car even a little (which I think most of us value our cars)...

Woke up and went to my car to take off and I see this. It stood out like a sore thumb, white on black!

At first, I thought I parked too far from the curb so I go to check:

Can`t really get much closer.

After washing and claying, best I can do:

No name, no number, no information left at all.

same EXACT thing happened to my dad`s explorer. I`m having a hell of a time touching it up.

Drives me nuts that people can`t judge that they are about to hit a car when parking or leaving a parking space. Even if it`s an accident just leave me a note. Even if you aren`t going to leave your name and number just a note saying sorry would probably calm me down a little bit. I`m lucky I live in nyc but don`t have to park on the street often. The few times I have this has happened to me or my bumpers get beat up.

For that amount, he`s either doing it for fun or taking major short cuts

with the cheapest materials available. $400 - $500 is the correct range

for a correct repair/refinish.

Yep.

I`d prefer not to have my paint fall off after 2 years.

The "friend deal" usually produces some of the worst paintwork out there.

what a coincidence... my dads silver camry got backed into a few days ago (in a parking lot somewhere) and the right rear bumper had some black paint transfer. luckily... some #105, foam applicator, and a little elbow grease made quick work of it. why do people do things like this?

as soon as i saw the pictures i thought its got to be in sf. a day doesn`t go by that i don`t see someone trying to parallel park without hitting either the car in front or rear, and act like nothing happened. sorry man
