I wanted to pick up a brush to get into tight emblem areas, and I noticed that this was a popular product to use during washes. However, it seems a bit pricey especially since that would be the only thing I would order from the retailer.

I noticed it said it had nylon bristles. Any OTC alternatives? Hobby brushes from some place like a paint store? Camel hair? I could use some feedback, thanks.

I got some Envy brushes from the UK. Search ebay for Swissvax and a 5 pack should be around $10 shipped from the Uk. They also have just the large ones, but I like the 5 pack as you get 5 different sizes and they all come in handy. Do not mar the paint at all and are as soft and effective as the SV

Try the paint department at your local hardware store. Lots of natural bristle brushes there.

The Swisswax brush is essentially a "parts washer brush" which you can find for a couple bucks at a hardware store.

onder what pure bristle mean? L

It means they fall out the first time you use them lol. That`s what happened to mine. It`s not a quality brush. You get what you pay for.

How about this:

1” Round Detailing Brush (http://www.autogeek.net/b15.html)

I use mine for everything. Emblems, lug nuts, door hinges, etc. Works great, no signs of wear, rinses clean.

For $10 less before shipping, it`s not really a concern.

of course it`s not as nice as the SV brush, but in a pinch it will work (i wanted to purchase a SV brush, but wasn`t going to pay the ridiculous shipping just for it). try to get the one that is made from germany and not china. the bristles seem to last longer. also, if you can find the megs slide lock brush (it`s discontinued, but still around at some places) it works pretty well...

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/414JFN0XR0L._SS500_.jpgYeah, friend of mine just picked up the Meg`s brush from some auto store and called me to see if I wanted one. Said no, as I have 4 sv brushes.
