Hi, I have read about the best way to clean clear coat off aluminum wheels.

But I`m not sure off the process, I know I`m going to need aircraft stripper and some steel wool ( not sure what grade of steel wool)?

Can anyone tell me the process that I`m going to need to go through? Any help is much appreciated.

My rims look very similar to the ones found on this post.

I used Dekote paint stripper from Eastwood Co., a couple plastic paint scrapers and fine grit paper to get into the "tight spots".

As stated above I have used Aircraft stripper or a similar stripper in strength, and a fine grit sand paper to get any spots the stripper does not completely remove. I have not had any experience using steel wool for this.
