Hey,

Was wondering if anyone here used Meguiar`s Ultimate Compound?

It says it is the "ultimate product for removing paint defects, oxidation, scratches, water spots, blemished - WITHOUT SCRATCHING!"

Is this a little harsher than their Paint Cleaner Wax?

I am thinking about adding this step before the Paint Cleaner Wax step - both by hand.

The cars finish is in good shape, just thought this might be an extra help.

Ultimate Compound is not quite as aggressive as M105, but it`s still up there.

The consistency is a little bit thicker than the updated version of M105, yet it works perfectly by hand.

If the paint is in fairly good condition, Ultimate Compound is going to be overkill. I`d use SwirlX or something less aggressive from the Professional line (M80, M09, M82, etc).

It`s an agressive compound, it will give good results by hand and works "quickly" at the cost of probably removing more paint than was absolutely necessary.

It`s not something to use on a car who`s finish is anywhere close to being in good shape. Try KIT Scratch Out instead.

Good work time, even with a rotary.
