I did a neighbors Dodge Ram. He`s getting out the Navy and needs to ship the vehicle and it needs to be clean before it gets shipped. I had no idea what I got myself into :( This truck was huge!! I learned the hard way, but it`s gonna cost more next time!
As most of you may know, me and Lake Country Backing Plates for the rotary just dont mix!! I had my third one before I started this truck. I got the scratches that I needed to get out, out, but that was it! I had to track down another. I went with the Megs W64 (love it!!!)
The truck had so many waterspots!! Glass and Paint!
Process:
Exterior:
*Washed with CG citrus wash
*Clayed with Clay Magic blue clay and ONR lube
*Rotary|LC orange pad|m105 to get the scratches out. Followed with Full Throttle.
*The M105 was drying up way too fast, so I switched to Ultimate Compound. Very great product and long work time! Key for a rotary!
*Selaed with Rejex
*Exterior Trim and wheel wells touched up with Megs Trim Detailer
*Hawaiian Island Shine Waterspot Remover for glass and areas I couldn`t get with the rotary.
*Hawaiian Island Shine Chrome and Glass polish to get the spots out of the rear view mirrors and to do the chrome.
*Eagle One Foam spray (2x) paired with a Megs GC Tire Brush to clean all of the red dirt off the tires
*Black Magic Tire Shine for the Tires (didn`t have enough Tuf Shine for 2 coats on each tire)
Interior:
*Special APC for cleaning with either a horse hair brush or Megs Interior Brush
*Megs NXT Trim Protectant
*Stoner Glass Cleaning Foam for all the glass
total time: ~23hrs spread over 3 days because of rain :(
whew, now the pics Im done typing, so Ill do my best to keep them in order.
