hey guys, i am doing a liquid glass application on my black mustang. i am trying to remove the swirls to make it look better, but i need a swirl remover with no wax in it... any suggestions? SwirlX by Meguiars?

if you want something OTC, both the megs ultimate compound and swirlx would be a good choice. they both work well by hand and D/A application...

id try swirl X first, because its less agressive than the ultimate compound, and swirl X contains NO wax... however after using a polish there will be oils left over, which might make it harder for liquid glass to bond onto your paint like it should.. after using swirl X you should do a wash with dish soap, or wipe down your paint with a 50-50 mix of isopropyl alcohol and water to remove the oils.. good call getting rid of your swirls before applying liquid glass, sealants generally make swirls even more visable.

well after i get rid of the swirls, i will prob use the liquid glass pre-cleaner... will that get rid of the oils and what not?

have you gone on meguiars website to find a dealer close to you? you could get something from the mirror line...ultimate compound works great! Followed with a good finishing polish, results are amazing!

yes, the precleaner should remove the oils.
