View Full Version : Wet Mirror Finish over Jetseal

I used Wet Mirror Finish for the first time today and was well impressed with the outcome but only when using it, by hand, over a Carlack 68 (Klasse AIO) and Jetseal base, and then topping it with a layer of AG HD wax.

I am aware that WMF is more often used either on cleaned paint or directly after an AIO. I tried both of these (topped with either Jetseal or HD wax), and whilst the results looked okay, I wasn`t overawed with them.

However, when applying the WMF to the Jetseal it just appeared to `melt` into the bodywork and left a crystal clear layer ready for the wax. The experience of applying WMF to either cleaned paint or Carlack 68 felt nothing like this.

Any thoughts as to whether I could expect to experience any problems by applying WMF after Jetseal; I wouldn`t have thought that durability would be a particular problem given that its been topped with a wax.

I`ve posted some pics below.

the car looks great, you`ve seemed to have stumbled on a combo you like, stick with, as for any problems, i personally don`t see any as long as you topped with an lsp of your likeing, the durability is in the lsp, if it`s an durability is an issue i would suggest something like collinite 845 very durabil as you may or maynot know.
