I feel very fortunate to have been chosen to work on this car. I received the call to work on this car on Father`s Day by one of my very best clients. His wife and son went and found a Porsche GT3 RS in Signal Green which he had been looking for for some time. It`s always great to have the client tell you the story behind how they acquired their new toy and see the giant child-like Xmas grin as they walk you around the car. Let me tell you, this is one very impressive car. The owner took me for a ride in it before I got to work and you can tell this car means business and is a beast on the track. Switching from standard to sport mode opens up the exhaust and the note goes from a steady Porsche wine to a sickening growl which allows the car to race to 60 in 4 seconds flat and 100 in 9.4 seconds with a top speed of 193mph!

Anyway, on to the detail. As many of you know, the GT3 RS was nearly impossible to get from a dealer when they first arrived. Many put down deposits in hopes of receiving one straight from Germany yet unfortunately, many dealers had to return deposits as Porsche only made a limited run of the GT3 RS. The owner is a car officienado in every sense of the word. His collection includes 360 Modena, Challenge Stradale, Gallardo Superleggera, Phantom, Flying Spur and Viper ACR just to name a few.

The car is a 2007 production year yet only had 997 miles on it (ironic?) when it rolled off the trailer and in to his garage. To say it was in great condition was an understatement. There were unfortunately swirls abounding on it that the client wanted taken care of. The first plan of attack was to wash off any protection that might have been on the paint and honestly, I didn`t find any. I`ll allow the pictures to speak for themselves. Because my camera was acting up and I didn`t finish until close to 11pm, the owner was kind enough to email me a few pictures and promises to send more when he gets a chance.

Foamed with CG Citrus Wash and Megs APC

Washed via 2BM with CG Citrus Wash

Wheels cleaned with P21s gel and Swissvax and Mini Detail Brush (love this thing!)

Tires cleaned with Eimann Fabrick cleaner and stiff brissel brush

Due to Porsche Clear being iron tuff and after testing, I went with PC KBM and Megs 105 on 5.5in Orange LC pad

Optimum Polish II and 5.5 in White LC Pad

- Opti Polish finished out LSP ready and myself and the owner were thrilled with the condition of the paint so I went straight to LSP.

Opti-Seal as LSP x 2

Wheels were sealed with Klasse SG

Tires received Adams VRT

Trim received Poorboys Natural Look

Windows were done with deonized water and mf towel

Interior was wiped down with 303 cleaner and conditioned with 303 protectant

Carbon Fiber door sills were sealed with Klassy SG as was the rest of the painted interior.

I`ll let the pics speak for themselves. The customer promised to send more pics when he had the time but for now these will have to do.

Being that the customer is a car guy, the trim, vents, center console as well as other various trim pieces were accented in Signal Green as well. He wants to look in to if that makes this a 1 off or not as others he has seen did not have this level of detail on the interior.

Thanks and it`s not exactly a garage per say, it`s more like a warehouse with a few lifts and such.
