When I took delivery of my 2006 Mini Cooper S GP, it had cosmoline drips down the sinde from the door hinge area to the side flaring (parts of which are not painted).

This has dried and created a white stain on my trim and I have tried alot of different products to get rid of it, but have not been successful.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Why didn`t you point this out to the dealer? They should have replaced the trim.

Once stained, it can be difficult to resolve, but sometimes you can recover some of it if the trim is black by trying Black WOW.

Otherwise, I`d still bring it in and let them resolve it, should still be under warranty.

Since I always detail my own cars when new and told thew dealer not to mess with cleaning it...I did not know that it won`t come off with my usual (less abrasive) products...

I`m looking to try something alittle stronger and maybe with a toothbrush this time to try and get it out...or reduce it at least. Any suggestions?

FWIW try the peanut butter trick.
