I am going to try of some of the Meguiars APC, the green stuff, on my floormats soon. What is a good starting dilliution? They are not too dirty just mostly by the heel area. One they are cleaned I plan on hosing them off, vacuuming, and letting them air dry. Will the APC leave the generic Pine Sol smell in the carpets even if it is rinsed well? I can`t stand that smell especially in the car:)

It`ll keep the smell for a little while but it goes away. I used 10:1 on decent floor mats and carpets, and 4:1 on dirtier ones, but Folex is the best for buck nasty stains IME.

why use the product at all if you don`t like the smell? Pleanty of other products out there that will give the same results that don`t smell like pine.

I didn`t intend on using it on the interior when I bought it. What will give the same results without adding the artificial smell?

I use Griot`s Interior Cleaner on my carpets - car, house wherever. I`ve never been disappointed. Its cleaned up some pretty bad dirt/grease stains with it.

+1 on the Folex suggestion.

+2 on Folex...the Megs APC foams up way to much for my liking...especially when I use my extractor...

Sorta related (the OP can tell me to make a new thread if he wishes), but any OTC brushes I can use for the carpet? I don`t really feel like using my fingers anymore.

Does anyone using Folex dilute it? I just picked up a gallon from Lowes this weekend, can`t wait to try it out. I have heard only good things about it.
