Can I get some suggestions on how to use Menzerna`s P203s using a rotary? I`m using it for the first time on a Lexus with some RIDS and it doesn`t seem to be correcting very much (although it`s difficult to see on a silver car).

I`m using a LC CCS Green pad, spreading at 600 RPM for a couple of "passes", then to 1500 until the polish breaks down, then 900-1200 for a little while to finish up. The finish looks fine, but it doesn`t look like it cuts very much. Any advice? Thanks.

how much pressure are you using?

Move up to an orange pad. If that doesn`t cut it you may have to move up to SIP.

I`m not using a lot of pressure. Basically the weight of the Makita and a bit more to stabilize it.

well from what ive heard and experienced most lexus paint is soft to medium, so add a bit of pressure, you wont hurt anything, just keep it moving

I`ve achieved great correction results on Lexus paint with my Makita, white pad, and PO203S. I usually spread it in about 900, then bump it up to 1500-1800 at medium pressure until it breaks down, then back down to 900. Use just 4 small dots of polish per working section.

For deeper RIDS you may need to step up to SIP, or you can throw on a PFW or Micro Surface Tuff Buff wool pad and 203. That should clean up deeper defects quickly, then you can go back and hit it again with white/203 to clean up any halos induced by the wool.

I`ve done some very nice one-step corrections on harder Benz and BMW`s, so you should be fine with the Lexus.

Here`s some more info on PO203S (http://www.detailedimage.com/Pro-Detailers/Articles/Menzerna-Power-Finish-PO203S-Review/)
