Ford truck engine cleaning

I searched under Triton, but no hits to speak of. Had an older `02 Expedition EB with the 5.4L Triton and killed two injectors while cleaning the engine.:grrr

Any tips on this specific issue on Fords (doesn`t happen on my `00 Sable)?

Expeditions are known to have failing injectors, my friend has replaced 3 so far and never washed under the hood.
