What is a good rate to charge for travel trailers, specifically a 5th wheel camper. I know it depends on the area, but hey..never hurts to ask!
Thanks!

I think some people charge something like $10-15 per foot. I would go by time though. The surfaces are flat and pretty easy to complete if you have the right equipment.

I think the avg. for a wash on a trailer/rv is 3-6 a foot. Then you can get into scrubbing the roof, waxing, polishing, cleaning rims. You can easily make 500 in a few hours depending on what you can sell.

Yeah it doesn`t take much at all to wash. Just a power washer and a telescoping wash mitt brush. The $10-15 per foot quote I said would be for a polish and waxing. The only thing that you should look out for are the black streaks if the unit has rubber roofs. They can be a real pain in the you know what when you`re trying to clean one of these up.

In my area it is a flat $75 for a wash. It is not worth my time for any less than that, and I can do a complete wash in about an hour. For a detail, I still charge a flat $75, and then $5 a foot. This is for a single step machine applied polish, such as PWC. I can usually make about $125 an hour with two people that way.

I quoted him $200 for a wash and wax. (He did some work for me on my house and gave me a killer deal) I called all the other local detailers and got their rates, came up with an average and then reduced it heavily. He is happy...I will be too when I get it done.

I appreciate the responses!!

Hi everyone,

Here is a picture of a 25 foot Travel trailer with black streaks. It took 7 hours by myself to get it nice. Definately worth $210 - 250 + in this shape. I figure $30 per man hour.

The siding is sheet metal and ribbed - what is your recommendation for machine application of polish and sealant? Im thinking a wool bonnet, but the crevices and bumps are spooky...ya know how a wire wheel brush attachment fits in a drill, something like that only "soft".
