I just bought a brand new Makita but im looking foward to buying new pads.

( whats better curved edged or flat ? )
the Makita comes with a Hook & loop, which i believe is a velcro, if so should i still invest in this flexible one ? what do you guys recommend.

What size is the backing plate that comes with the Makita?
I picked up a CE rotary and it came with a 7" backing plate, being a noob with a rotary I didn`t feel comfortable with using 8 1/2" pads so I opted for a 6" flex backing plate and 7 1/2" VC pads.
I like how the plate has just that little bit of give when I am going over an uneven surface.

I bought the flexible BP and Wolfgang pads from autogeek and they work fine for my rotary. The only pads I have that are flat are the ones that are exactly 6 inches-- the curve around ones. I would recomend the Wolfgang or LC pads that curve around.
