Quick Detailer for Carnuba

I am looking for some suggestions on a quick detailer to use over Carnuba wax that won`t compromise the look of the carnuba with a sealent look.



I have a black vehicle and am using Fuzion wax, I want to keep that beautifal look.



I have read that you should use a wax QD over wax and a polymer QD over Sealents, not sure if that is true but it does make some sense.



In the past I have used my Blackfire QD over wax and it does seem to make it lean more toward the polymer sealent look, IMHO.



I have read some great reviews on new products, such as Zaino Z8 and Ultima QD but am not sure how they would do over wax- also I beleive that they are more of a paint protection extender than a QD to use after regular washings.



I know Pinnacle Crystal Mist spray detailer would work but for $25 I am hoping that there are some other options that are just as good.



Any advice or suggestions is Greatly appreciated :grinno:

i`ve had good luck with sonus qd, but again, its pricy....

Worlds best Wax Surface refresher is just as good ad Crystal mist.

FK1 425 is good. Sonus & Surf City have excellent ones too.

I like Sonus Carnauba Spritz. It seems quite compatible with the carnauba waxes I am using, and so far I have not experienced any streaking.

I have a similar question as well. I use the turtle wax platinum series (paste) carnuba based wax. I love it, I actually prefer it over P21S. I use Megs Ultimate Quick Detailer after I apply it and in between washes. Is this ok or am I canceling one or the other out by doing this ?

Wow, you like TW over P21S:werd:To each his own. Nothing wrong in using a QD between washes, if the surface has just a little dust. Anything more than light dust, do a wash. The QD will just give you a little more protection.

I do. Not just any TW but the platinum series paste I was very impressed with, and for what its worth the p21s I use is not the 100% pure carnuba one. Mine came with the blue lid on it, not the silver one.

To me Clearkote Quikshine and Optimum Instant Detailer are equally wonderful products. The Optimum is more economical but both work the same. I`ll use them when drying after an ONR wash, to treat windows and extend the life of `nuba waxes.
