Hey guys,

Have recently purchased a 2000 Honda Torneo Euro R in Milano Red.

Now this car is in awesome condition, but the paint. It had been sitting on the dealers yard for the whole summer, outside, in the hot sun :nervous2: so naturally, the awesome honda milano red colour has faded in the following areas:

Edges of the roof, top of front guards, top of rear guards, rear bumper/lip, front bumper/lip.

I don`t have any experience with this type of paint or colour and just need some advice, and if it is possible to correct without a full respray. This fading does not seem like oxidation, it appears to be deeper than that (actual pigment has faded) making it a sort of pink colour in areas.

Here are some photos... any help is greatly appreciated! :thx

From what I remember, Milano Red has a tint to the clear or something funky going on. Try a paint cleaner on those areas to see if the color comes back.

Bump!

I think its about time I really sorted the paint on my car. I plan on using a meguiars G220 DA polishing machine.

Would you recommend using a CCS Red pad with Megs #9 polish? I want to use the finest polish possible to avoid removing much of the already thin and soft honda paint.
