I bought my car last July, and I`m itching to give it a detail. I have lots of experience with a rotary.

Anyway, the color is Platinum Gray, and it`s classic VW hard clear. (I get to buff these beauty`s every day at work..) So I should have my regimen down right? Well I want to take extra care on my car obviously. It has some minor cobwebbing, swirls in general. No buffer trails, no haze, it just needs a good polish.

So I`m taking my trusty M105 with a blue edge polishing pad, and following with UltraFina SE with the Ultrafina waffle pad. Following with NXT 2.0 and Ultimate Quik Wax as a topper.

I also have 3M products at my disposal, Extra Cut Compound, I think it`s called Rubbing Compound now, 3M Swirl Remover, and UltraFina SE. And some awesome 3M paste wax that I put on last fall, and she was still sheeting water this spring. Very impressive. :2thumbs:

Any suggestions? Any wax options to really make the plat. gray metallic pop?

Thats my old car in my av....not a reference point. :o
