Hi Guys,

I have recently been playing about with the products i have the in the garage and Clearkote Yellow Moose Wax has always been one of my favorites and i just got it out to have a play with a few weeks ago. I gave the car a wash last night and got a few snaps.

The process was PB`s Pro Polish (abrasive free polish) to take off any previous products.

Then YCW.

Two coats of Zymol Japon.

Here are a few photos, i have taken one of the car in the sun and the car in the shade at the same time. Often wet, reflective depth is easy to achieve in the shade no so much in the sun.

YCW is such an easy to use product. It slides on and buffs off easy. I apply to the whole car then remove the minor residue. It darkens paintwork, to leave a wet look, deep finish!

Often i top with CMW but i thought the crisp wetness, like melting ice of Zymol Japon would make for an intreasting contrast, and in deed this is one of my favorite combos!

If you were in doubt about picking up YCW i would give it the thumbs up, a hidden gem! ALthough the name suggests its an LSP it isnt, its more a of a glaze and requires topping. I applied it by hand, i have often found machine application to make mess or leave some annoying holograming.

I don`t really know anything about Moose Wax (other than I`ve seen some great results on this site from it) is it a synthetic or carnuba wax?

Thanks Eisen.

Fishman; They do a few Moose Wax products. The Moose Wax that is a dark colour is a cleaner wax (AIO).

There is the whitish one that Scottwax uses alot. This is a great product though doesnt seem to bead or sheet very much. I think its real wax (nuba) softened with a solvent.

YMW which i put as YCW in the title  is just a glaze, which is yellow in colour.

How about RMG then YCW then your wax. Would this make a good combo ?

Just used YMW for the first time on my dad`s metallic blue Civic, topped of with Dodo Juice Hard Candy. Looks fantstic, really makes the flake pop.

When I used the RMG/YMW/CM combo on my midnight blue metallic GTO, it was the best the paint ever looked. Mile deep shine, lots of flake, pretty durable. Good stuff.

Maybe Eliot Ness will chime in about the time he used the entire "moose line-up" on his street rod.

Thanks Guys! Its great to hear there are lots of other Yellow Moose Wax users! Its hardly mentioned and is a real hidden gem!

I have used it with RMG before (using RMG on a finishing pad as a paintwork cleaner) and i noticed some extra "shimmer" to the finish.

How did you use this combo? Did you mix RMG and YMW together like pink moose? If not does anyone know if there`s a benefit of mixing these? Or is it even recommended?

I wonder if it would be overkill to use pink wax, followed by YMW, and then top it off with CMW, or another caranuba LSP?

Would a sealant work over this combo as well?
