I last performed my first full exterior on the Prelude (http://www.autopia.org/forum/click-brag/102213-newbie-2001-ebp-honda-prelude-sh.html) early last year, thanks to the knowledge learned here on Autopia. I believe it was a pretty successful detail; but up keeping soft Honda paint, especially Electron Blue Pearl is a pain. So I decided the paint was overdue for another correction, so this year I wanted to use the new Meguiar`s M205 as my main polish.

The process was pretty simple:

-Washed the car with ONR

-Clayed with Claymagic Blue Clay

-Used Meguiars M105, orange LC pad(only on tough scratches)

-Meguiars M205 on white LC pad for the entire car

-Clearkote Pink Moose on black LC pad

-Layered with Meguiars M26 Liquid Wax

Took some better before pictures this year:

Looks great with the Type S wheels and HID retrofit. Very subtle mods that look great for those "in the know".

Nice. I need to do my black 01 Prelude.

I have the base model w/ retrofits. I would like to source the OEM lip kit eventually for it.

Great looking car.

I agree with the wheels and retrofit, that blue looks amazing on a Prelude, great work! My car`s due for a detail refresh as well...

Classic cars IMO. Honda really did great styling on them.

Best looking gen of Prelude and yours make me want one all over again! Nice work and great looking car with tasteful mods. The RSX wheels look like they should have come on the car.

Wow, thanks everybody for the incredible feedback.

I decided to add some pictures of when I had to use M105 earlier in March of this year, this is before I had M205. Below is a quick background of the damage done to my trunk area.

This is from an earlier post on a different forum:

My trunk area was badly swirled up recently because of my stupid mistake to leave front entrance flap of my enclosed car canopy (http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b212/chuitron/prelude/tsx_retrofit/DSC02829-Edit.jpg) loose instead of tied up and secured. With the heavy winds recently.. the flap was rubbing back and forth over the trunk and bumper area. This resulted in the following damage:

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b212/chuitron/prelude/wash_polish/m105/DSC05699-Edit.jpg

As you can see.. I removed the spoiler so I could have full access to use the M105 compound with my PC7424.

I proceeded to do a couple of passes with the M105 and it surprisingly tackled the swirls with no problem at all.

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b212/chuitron/prelude/wash_polish/m105/DSC05709-Edit.jpg

The M105 eliminated the swirls and spider webs, but it being an ultra cut compound.. it doesnt quite leave a wax ready finish.

So I decided to do a couple of passes using some Menzera 106ff nano polish to clear up the haziness left behind from the M105.

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b212/chuitron/prelude/wash_polish/m105/DSC05717-Edit.jpg

Once that was done.. I decided to use the Clearkote pink moose glaze mixture (http://www.clearkote.com/Clearkoteweb/PinkMooseCombo.htm) to further add some wetness and pop to the flake of the paint. After that was done.. I layered the trunk area with 2 layers of Meguiars M26 High Tech Yellow Liquid Wax.

Final results:
