This is the CP LP pad.

I apply two 8" lines on the surface and work it in then turn on the PC at 3.5 to 4. side to side and back and forth. It seems like that on the 3rd to 4th pass the MIP is about dry. Does that sound right to you?

Does the pad look ok?

I then wipe off with MF. I have done this about 4-5 times. Area is very smooth but does not seem to be cutting the water spots or small scratches that much.

I guess I just need to keep at it more. Maybe I should of got a yellow pad too.

This is the area, I guess this angle is not giving a good look at the water spots.

TIA!

UPDATE

Not getting anywhere with the orange pad.

I went over this part 6 times and increased the speed setting on the PC to 5.

This is a area that has not been touched yet:

Looks pretty much the same....

Should I go with a yellow pad?

Thanks!

Is the orange pad a cutting, polishing, finishing pad?
Same question for the white pad.
What is MIP?

If you have serious flaws, it takes some time to remove them with a PC.
When I had a scratch (vandalized) about 10" long on the side of my van, I probably spent at least 30 minutes with Meguiar`s #83 DACP and a Meg`s polishing pad at speeds of 5 and 6. It did the job, finally, but a rotary would have done the same thing in about 3 minutes.

Charles, Thanks for your reply.

MIP=Menzerna Intensive Polish

The only pad I have used is a orange one here (http://www.properautocare.com/coprorpopa.html)

Will the yellow pad here (http://www.properautocare.com/hi612infopaa.html) work better?

Wonder if I can find anything local in Atlanta?

I worked the last area for 20 mins, starting at 3.5 on the PC working my way up to 6.

It does appear that the yellw pad would be more aggressive.
I would try it. I use a speed of 5 whenever I have anything very severe to get rid of. 6 vibrates too much to be comfortable.
Gonna be gone for several hours so I won`t be answering you. Not ignoring, just won`t be here.:)

Charles, Thanks again for your response.

We are going out of town for the w/e, so I`m done for now. Hopefully I can find a good pad monday locally when I return.

Thanks for the link!
